As part of the myHood project, a capacity-building workshop was organized in Thessaloniki, Greece, bringing together more than 30 educators and architects to explore participatory urban design approaches. The training introduced participants to the project’s tools and methodologies, designed to empower young people to critically observe, evaluate, and co-design their local environments.

Through interactive sessions, participants engaged with practical applications of the tools, learning how to integrate them into educational and professional contexts. The workshop emphasized youth-led perspectives on sustainability, accessibility, and safety, while fostering collaboration between educators and urban designers. Participants responded enthusiastically to the hands-on activities, recognizing the potential of these methods to inspire young people and enrich classroom and design practices. By equipping professionals with adaptable resources, the training supports the wider goal of strengthening youth participation in creating more inclusive, sustainable, and climate-resilient cities.
